Keeping Busy in 2023: A Year in Review

2023 has been a busy time for our team, and we wanted to highlight a few of our favorite accomplishments.

• An act to reduce traffic fatalities was signed into law at the very beginning of 2023, an auspicious start to a productive year.
• We released Keeping Pace, the third in our series of reports about the status of bus service in the Boston Metro area.
• Speaking of reports, our second Not on a Shelf report is already part of the City of Boston's reevaluation of their Go Boston 2030 plan.
• Our outreach team was busy all year:
  • On the Southwest Corridor, 18 Street Ambassadors spent 50 hours collecting 681 surveys. Amazing!
  • Meanwhile, 26 Street Ambassadors on Blue Hill Ave collected 520 surveys over an incredible 154 hours of outreach.
• Our Emerald Network team had fun this summer talking to locals about the DOT greenway.
• Tour de Streets exceeded our fundraising expectations, raising over $80k to help fund our work in 2024!
• Plus, the LSA team put together our very first National Children's Day celebration with Sidney Street Storytime at our Cambridge office.
