Rally for Better Buses: Getting Boston on Board Report Launch

Join us for a rally for Better Buses! On Thursday, March 8th we'll be launching our Better Buses: Getting Boston on Board report with a press conference and rally at Dudley Square Station.

The report is part of our larger Better Buses campaign and highlights improvements that can be made now by the City of Boston with minimal costs and considerable benefits for Boston bus riders, who are largely low-income, people of color, and experience some of the longest commutes in the metro region.

Here are three things you can do to help us make this event a success:

  1. Join us for the rally (and a free coffee!) on Thursday, March 8th. We encourage you to bring your own sign! (Check out these photos from the recent I-90 rally for some good ideas!)

  2. Amplify the report -- share it with Mayor Walsh's office and the Boston City Council to say it's time for #BetterBuses in Boston!
  3. Spread the word -- forward this email to five friends. Take part in the conversation before and during the rally on social media. Here are our hashtags: #BetterBuses #GetontheBus #GetBostononBoard #BusOnlyLanes

The report includes several recommendations for the City of Boston to implement immediately, including the creation of a new staff position dedicated to upgrading the bus system, the implementation of bus only lanes along high ridership and high delay corridors, among others.

We hope to see you there!
