The Massachusetts Department of Transportation invites you to a Public Information Meeting on Phase 3 of the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge Replacement Project. At this meeting, the project team will discuss construction and traffic management plans for Phase 3 of the project when the bridge over the Commonwealth Avenue bypass roadways is replaced. The full replacement requires closing Mass. Ave. to all modes of travel from 10:00 PM on Thursday, May 10, to 5:00 AM on Tuesday, May 15. Vehicle traffic on Mass. Ave. will be detoured during this time.
Additionally, there will be a 19-day closure of the east and westbound Commonwealth Avenue bypass roadways under the bridge from Saturday, May 5, through Wednesday, May 23. The closures are necessary for the contractor to have access to the bridge substructure to prepare for and complete the full bridge replacement.For more information about the meeting, please click here.
