State Representatives Byron Rushing, Jay Livingstone, and Senator Will Brownsberger will hold a public information meeting on the future of the Charlesgate Park, located underneath and surrounding the Bowker overpass. Their goal is to set in motion a public-private partnership to define and implement permanent improvements to beautify the “jewel” of Frederick Law Olmsted’s Emerald Necklace park system. They anticipate the first step should be a conceptual design process that would identify and assess several options while facilitating a community conversation about the options.
