PARK(ing) Day 2016

LivableStreets will have an outdoor office set up on Third Street between Binney and Broadway for Cambridge's Park(ing) Day. Stop by and say hello! We'll have free snacks and swag, staff available for questions, and several engagement activities set up. We'll also be raffling off a couple of items, including a $25 gift certificate to Slumbrew. If you're interested in volunteering to help us staff our "office" - please email Louisa at [email protected]

Find us at spot #51 on the map here. For more information about Cambridge's Park(ing) Day, click here.

PARK(ing) Day is an annual international event where residents, artists and activists come together to temporarily transform metered parking spaces into “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public places. The project began in 2005 when Rebar, a San Francisco art and design studio, converted a single metered parking space into a temporary public park in downtown San Francisco. Since 2005, PARK(ing) Day has evolved into a global movement, with organizations and individuals creating new forms of temporary public space in urban contexts around the world.
