MassDOT Moving Together Conference

The Moving Together Conference promotes the idea that walking, bicycling and public transportation are the key components for creating vibrant communities where residents can enjoy health, social and economic benefits in a variety of forms.

This year’s conference will be the official launch of the Statewide Pedestrian Transportation Plan’s Municipal Resource Guide, featuring:

- Why is Walkability Important?
- Elements of Walkable Communities

The conference will also feature all-day program tracks on municipalities, complete streets and transit; mega-sessions on buses and health and safety campaigns; site visits; and awards. Guest speakers will include Stephanie Pollack, the Massachusetts Secretary of Transportation; and Kimberly Driscoll, the mayor of Salem.
