Please join the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) for the release of the State of Equity Five Year Update. This free event, which will include a light breakfast, will feature key findings and an interdisciplinary panel discussion. 

MAPC's original State of Equity in Metro Boston report, released December 2011, established a set of indicators for monitoring equity across a wide range of topic areas and all stages of life. It found that Metro Boston residents do not enjoy the same level of opportunity when it comes to economic prosperity, education, public health, safety, and many other measures. Five years have passed, and it is now time to revisit these indicators to measure progress the region has made in advancing equity and to identify areas where inequities persist or have widened.
