Fundraising for Tour de Streets continues through September 30th

Whether you attended, donated, or cheered us on from afar, your support helped to make Tour de Streets a great success!

On Saturday, September 8th we welcomed over 150 participants, raising more than $53,000 toward our $75,000 goal! Check out photos from the event here and here (more coming soon).

Our fundraising isn't over yet! If you were inspired by the event, the people, or our initiatives, you can still donate through the end of the month to help us meet our $75,000 goal. Whether it is $5 or $500, you can increase your impact today!

Great Board Members Wanted

Do you enjoy discussions about how we can better plan and design neighborhood streets and public spaces? Do you wish city leaders were held more accountable for building equitable streets? We invite you to actively work on a team that is addressing these issues today.

LivableStreets is currently seeking board members with knowledge or interest in one or more of the following areas: community organizing, policy development, fundraising, or strategic planning. LivableStreets board members enjoy camaraderie, mentorship, and skill-sharing while taking a proactive role in driving the planning and priorities of our organization. Please reach out to [email protected] if you or someone you know is interested in joining our board.

The Boston Transportation Department is hiring 20 new staff members, including planners, engineers, operations staff, and policy experts! Please help us spread the word about these opportunities, which have the potential to greatly accelerate BTD’s work on Vision Zero, Better Buses, and Go Boston 2030.

LivableStreets, along with our MA Vision Zero Coalition partners -- and many of you! -- helped advocate for the FY19 BTD budget increase this spring that allowed for these new positions, including the City’s first ever Transit Team!
