From the community garden to the majesty of Yellowstone, public parks embody the ideal that access to nature is a fundamental civil right. Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site and the Friends of Fairsted are pleased to present for the first time findings from a groundbreaking report that reveals the untold story of how the Olmsteds shaped this fundamental idea into our National Park System over a century ago and you'll discover how the lessons they learned are translatable into a 21st century vocabulary. Those who care about parks, big and small, natural — and maybe not so natural — are welcome. Space is limited, so you must register in advance by clicking here.
