ABL Lunch & Learn: Investing in Buses & Strengthening Transit Equity

Join ABL for a Lunch & Learn on ways to invest in and innovate bus service. Bus service is often the first target of service cuts, even though buses have the potential to dramatically expand public transportation to underserved areas that can’t be reached by passenger rail. By investing in and exploring recent innovations in bus service Massachusetts can relieve traffic congestion while reducing the carbon footprint of public transit. Policy experts and advocacy leaders will explore ideas like fare-free service and bus rapid transit, and discuss how buses are critical to transit infrastructure, advancing equity, and supporting the Massachusetts economy.

Featuring Jarred Johnson (Transit Matters), Sarah Kurpiel Lee (MAPC), Kat Benesh (MBTA), and Gustavo Quiroga (GraffitoSP and ABL Board of Directors) as moderator.
