Public Meeting: MassDOT presents I-90 Plans to Cambridge

Cambridge’s I-90 Committee will host a City-wide public meeting about the realignment of I-90, just across the river in Allston, slated to begin in 2019. This $460+ million, 5-year project has the potential to dramatically improve the lives of Allston, Brighton and Cambridge residents.

MassDOT will address Cambridge concerns about the project at the meeting, including traffic and access, noise, visual impact and impact on the river environment during and after construction.  They will present the three plans for the realignment of the turnpike and evaluate how each will affect Cambridge.

Jack Wofford, Cambridgeport resident, mediator and former transportation official, will facilitate.

The meeting will be April 13 at the Morse School (40 Granite St.) from 6:30-8:30pm. All are welcome. Arrive early to park and grab a good seat. We expect a crowd. We will start right at 6:30pm to make sure that there is time for Q & A.

This meeting will follow up on the Cambridgeport Neighborhood Association’s March 30th I-90 meeting. Look for the link to those presentations by members of the I-90 Advisory Board at magazinebeach.org.
