Public Hearing on Proposed Zoning in Arlington

There will be a public hearing this Monday, March 11 at 7:30 pm at the Senior Center Main Room at 27 Maple Street where Arlington residents can voice their support for making Arlington more vibrant, walkable and welcoming. The proposed reforms would facilitate new housing choices and small business development along Mass Ave, Broadway, and some areas along Summer Street and Pleasant Street.

Residents young and old are looking for the opportunity to stay in town and live near restaurants, public transportation, and other amenities. At the same time, local businesses need more foot traffic to compete and prosper. The reforms will concentrate future development along main arteries while preserving existing residential neighborhoods.

For background about the process, please see this notice on the Town’s website here.
