Longfellow Bridge Tech Tour

Join YPT Boston on a technical tour of the Longfellow Bridge, currently under construction as part of the Longfellow Bridge Rehabilitation Project. This project is one of one of five major projects of the Commonwealth's $3 billion Accelerated Bridge Program. With Phase 1 now complete, Christopher De Louis of White-Skanska-Consigli, will guide the group along the bridge and discuss the stages of construction, major activities, and the new pedsetrian bridge that connects Beacon Hill and the Esplanade. You will also learn about the rehabilitation of the "Salt & Pepper" Towers and how they were able to undergo construction while keeping existing auto, pedsetrian, and train traffic operational.

The tour takes place on Tuesday, October 11th from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The group will meet at the Athenaeum Building Lobby located at 215 First Street in Cambridge.

The tour is limited to 15 attendees and is for YPT Members only. If you aren't a member, join today for just $20 (annual fee) by registering for this event! (Memberships are non-refundable.) All proceeds will support future YPT events. If you're not sure of your membership status, please go to "My YPT" and login to your account to find that information.
