Issue #194 - November
Nov 26, 2024
Calling all bus riders!
We are looking for enthusiastic bus riders in Metro Boston to support our upcoming Street Ambassador deployment.
From December 5th-20th, LivableStreets is assisting the MBTA for Phase 1 of Bus Network Redesign. We are looking for Street Ambassadors to help bus riders navigate the new bus routes. Street Ambassadors will have the flexibility to pick the dates and times that work for them! Additionally, we are compensating volunteers with $15 for each hour of outreach completed.

World Day of Remembrance Celebrated Across Massachusetts
|
Ride for Your Life, Nov 17th
|
Throughout November, communities across Massachusetts came together to honor World Day of Remembrance for victims of traffic crashes. In 2024 so far, over 2,000 lives have been lost to, or seriously injured by, a traffic crash in Massachusetts — not including the countless friends, family, and loved ones impacted as well. World Day of Remembrance is an annual international event during which we gather as a community to reflect upon those we've lost and commit ourselves to improving our roads.
Advocates hosted seven events across the state from Pittsfield to Brockton, bringing the fight for safer streets to the forefront of everyone’s minds. Read a recap of the events from MassBike here.
