The City of Cambridge is holding community conversations to get feedback on citywide development projections under current and alternative zoning scenarios. The alternative scenarios will include discussion of a proposed affordable housing overlay, density bonuses for inclusionary housing beyond the required 20%, and density bonuses for net zero energy construction ahead of the requirements set forth by the Net Zero Action Plan. Community conversations on the different scenarios will guide future land use decisions by balancing goals of housing, jobs, urban form, and impacts on traffic, the environment, and tax rates.
