The Bike Talk Social Hour is a monthly event held at Aeronaut Brewing Company and put on by the Somerville Bicycle Committee. The idea behind the series is to bring together the cycling community and the bike curious to socialize over beer and share their joy of cycling. Every Bike Talk features a 30-minute talk by an advocate, bicycle business owner, or other individual who has a cycling passion to share. This month, Phil Goff will tell the story of the battle for bike lanes on Mass Ave in Arlington. A rough summary: A private citizen spends $100,000 on lawyers to prevent bike lanes in Arlington, loses, and moves out of town!
