This month's topic: The Community Preservation Act
Featured speaker: Christine Poff, Director of Community Preservation
In 2016, Boston residents voted to adopt the Community Preservation Act (CPA) by an overwhelming majority. The CPA funds can be used for projects that support historic preservation, affordable housing, and parks and open space. Come out to our Advocacy Committee meeting on Wednesday, February 28th to learn how the CPA can play a role in your neighborhood.
Community Preservation Director Christine Poff will be joining us to talk about what's next and how communities can apply for funding.
The Advocacy Committee meets monthly to discuss the current work of LivableStreets and provide peer-to-peer support on projects that are being led by committee members. If you are new and interested in the committee, come to the pre-meeting from 6:15-6:30 to learn more about the committee in an informal setting. Beer, wine and snacks served!
