Virtual Bike Talk

Biking in the Bigger Picture - Crossing Jurisdictions and Modes

Wednesday, April 15, online presentation begins at 6:30pm. (Zoom meeting link)

Join Tegin Teich, the Executive Director of the Central Transportation Planning Staff (CTPS) to the Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and a former Somerville and Cambridge Bicycle Committee member, to talk about bicycle infrastructure from a regional and municipal perspective, and in the broader multimodal context. The Boston Region MPO is responsible for carrying out a transparent public process to allocate approximately $100 million of federal transportation dollars per year to infrastructure projects, a significant portion of which is allocated specifically to bicycle and pedestrian projects. Through her leadership at CTPS, Tegin works with her staff to support the creation of an equitable, sustainable, and safe transportation system at a regional scale that supports economic development and quality of life improvements for everyone in the region.

You can even pick up an order from Aeronaut to recreate the in-brewery experience at home!
