Neighborhood Slow Streets - Stonybrook

Neighborhood Slow Streets is a new approach to traffic calming requests in Boston. We're focused on street designs that self-enforce slower speeds and safer behaviors. Through this program, we aim to:

  • reduce the number and severity of crashes on residential streets
  • lessen the impacts of traffic, and
  • add to the quality of life in our neighborhoods.

Stonybrook is one of five communities that was selected to join the program in 2017. At this meeting, the City will share designs for community review and feedback. Learn more about the program here

At this meeting, the outcomes of the Dungarven diverter pilot project will be discussed. The City will share a summary of data and observations collected before, during, and after the diverter was installed, as well as resident feedback.  For more information on the purpose of the diverter, click here
