The Fairmount Greenway is a nine-mile walking and bike route in Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, and Hyde Park that uses low traffic residential streets to provide safe active transportation options to access new and existing parks, schools,business districts, and the Fairmount MBTA Stations.  The Fairmount Greenway is comprised of a 10 member task force that has been working the project since 2008.

The Fairmount Greenway needs your to help create design concepts for “neighborhood greenways,” which includes improving low-traffic residential streetscapes and creating new open space for each of the five neighborhoods along the Fairmount Corridor. The Fairmount Greenway needs to have design concepts in hand supported by residents in order to effectively advocate for improvements to the streetscape and open space.
