Ride On Washington

Organizers are planning the 2012 event as an invitational ride for 20 riders with a goal of raising more than $100,000. Anyone is welcome to join us along the way. Each evening will feature reception events that bring local advocates, industry leaders, and racing clubs together in support of bike initiatives. For the final day of the ride, from Baltimore to Washington, hundreds of people will be invited to pedal the last miles to the National Bike Summit on Capital Bikeshare bikes (spandex not required).

Here’s the schedule for the 2012 Ride on Washington. Locations for ride departures and receptions will be announced in February.

  • March 15: Rider Presentation, Boston, MA
  • March 16: Boston—Hartford, 120 miles
  • March 17: Hartford—New York City, 140 miles
  • March 18: New York City—Philadelphia, 110 miles
  • March 19: Philadelphia—Baltimore, 100 miles
  • March 20: Baltimore—Washington D.C., 50 miles; National Bike Summit Reception
  • March 21: National Bike Summit—Congressional Reception, Washington, D.C.
  • March 22: National Bike Summit—Congressional Visits & Closing Reception, Washington, D.C.
