Muddy River Project Construction Public Meeting

Thursday, January 31st - 7:00-8:30p
@ Simmons College, Main College Building, First Floor, 300 Fenway, Boston [map]

The Muddy River Project has reached another milestone—construction of this long-awaited project will commence on January 28th with installation of erosion control measures. The public will more see project efforts when the tree removal effort commences on February 4, 2013, with tree removal needed for traffic management and day lighting efforts. At this informational meeting, Mike Keegan, Project Manager for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will provide a brief overview of the Muddy River Project, discuss construction-related impacts, including traffic management, and present the activities that will occur in the next 90-days as well as how the public can learn about the upcoming activities. The meeting will include both a presentation and an opportunity for the public to ask questions about the project. The presentation will be available after the meeting online.

This public meeting is co-hosted by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), City of Boston Parks Department, Town of Brookline Department of Public Works, the Muddy River Restoration Project Maintenance and Management Oversight Committee and the Emerald Necklace Conservancy.
