Long Range Transportation Plan and TIP Workshop

Wednesday, August 31st, 5:30-7:00pm
@ Bedford Town Hall, 10 Mudge Way, 1st Floor, Selectmen's Meeting Room [map]

Learn more about the future of transportation in our region at this public workshop held by the Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO).

Staff will present information about two important regional transportation planning documents that are out for public review and comment until September 13 at 5:00 PM:

  • The draft Long-Range Transportation Plan, Paths to a Sustainable Region.
  • The draft federal fiscal years 2012–15 Transportation Improvement Program.

The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) establishes the list of highway and transit projects in the Boston region to receive federal funding during the next four years. The TIP is guided by the policies and project priorities identified in the Long-Range Transportation Plan. Both documents can be reviewed online.

The documents can be obtained at the MPO’s website. Copies of the document are also obtainable in CD, print, and accessible formats by contacting the MPO:
