Transportation Secretary and CEO Stephanie Pollack will join Highway Administrator Jonathan Gulliver, Senate President Karen Spilka and state and local officials from Natick and Framingham at a ground breaking event for the  Framingham-Natick Cochituate Rail Trail.

MassDOT officials will also be releasing their Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. The final plans present action steps with the goal of reducing fatalities and serious injuries and increasing the percentage of trips made by walking and bicycling. The Cochituate Rail Trail is one example of how these goals wills be achieved. The Bicycle and Pedestrian Plans define a vision for Massachusetts in which all people have a safe, comfortable and convenient option to walk or bike for every day trips.
