A team at MIT (a collaboration between the Mobility Futures Collaborative and the Media Lab Changing Places group) is developing a new toolkit for communicating the impacts of transit corridors. Beta versions of these online interactive regional maps and neighborhood-scale tangible models are ready for testing, and your input would provide valuable guidance in the next steps for their use and design.
The Barr Foundation will launch a series of public workshops in September, using updated versions of these tools to explore the impacts of bus rapid transit scenarios in Boston based on the work of the Barr-funded Greater Boston Bus Rapid Transit Study Group. We think your organization might be interested in these workshops, and we hope to maximize their value by engaging you now, as these tools are being developed. You might also find this open-source platform useful for engaging stakeholders around other transit projects important to your organization in the future.
