Beacon St Bridle Path Restoration Walk

*EVENT RESCHEDULED FROM JUNE 1.*

Beacon Street in Brookline has inconsistent bicycle accommodation and many unused parking spaces in the median. Join the MAPC's Landline Coalition for a walk along Beacon Street to listen to local advocates describe a proposal to restore the median reservation next to the Green Line for bicycle and pedestrian use.  Vehicle parking would remain, but be reconfigured.

This walk is part of the 2018 MAPC Summer Greenway Ride and Walk Series, which explores metro Boston's growing greenway and trail network. This network is part of MAPC's vision to connect 1400 miles throughout the Boston Region.

The purpose of the series is to show off new projects and advocate for completing the missing gaps. The events educate, entertain, and build the bond between users, designers, planners and advocates to work towards the goal of a connected active transportation network.
