Advocacy Committee September Meeting: Community Benefits

Do you care about the impacts of new housing development on public transportation and traffic? Or about the lack of green space and the impacts on the public realm? Want more affordable homes?

Attend our next Advocacy Committee meeting to learn more! Jason Derosier, the manager of community building & engagement for the Allston Brighton CDC, will lead a ‘Community Planning and You’ workshop that will demystify Article 80 of the Boston Zoning Code and highlight the opportunities for residents to engage with the development process so they can be effective advocates for what they envision for their neighborhoods.

The Advocacy Committee meets monthly to discuss the current work of LivableStreets and provide peer-to-peer support on projects that are being led by committee members. If you are new and interested in the committee, come to the pre-meeting from 6:15-6:30 to learn more about the committee in an informal setting. Beer and snacks served!
