Advocacy Committee March Meeting

The Advocacy Committee meets monthly to discuss the current work of LivableStreets and provide peer-to-peer support on projects that are being led by committee members. If you are new and interested in the committee, come to the pre-meeting from 6:15-6:30 to learn more about the committee in an informal setting. Beer and snacks served!

At this meeting we'll focus on what it's like to be a Massachusetts state representative, and how things really work at the State House. We'll hear from newly elected Representative Tommy Vitolo, who will give us a glimpse into the inner workings of the State House and share tips on how to be more effective when advocating at the state level.

In case you missed it, check out Tommy's public comments and entertaining analogy at a recent MBTA Fiscal and Management Control Board meeting on fare increases.
