For decades, GreenRoots has been on the forefront organizing for environmental justice and waterfront access. They have always ensured that when land and water become cleaner, those most impacted by the years of environmental degradation and toxic pollution will have access to these natural resources: Our waterfront, our land, our neighborhoods. Now, despite so much success, they are in a similar predicament as fellow residents. Like so many, they too are being displaced from their home.

GreenRoots must vacate their waterfront offices. But they will never vacate our dream of permanent public access to the Chelsea Creek waterfront.

GreenRoots is calling on their family for support as they make this transition and as they continue to fight against displacement in Chelsea and East Boston. As they move to a temporary space, they need your help to secure a permanent home for the community on the Chelsea Creek waterfront. Over the next several months they are looking to raise $500,000 for a new office space, but they can’t do this without your full fledged support.
