Events

An important component of our work is inspiring a vision by sharing innovative transportation ideas from around the world. Our events serve as forums for learning, times to discuss important issues and are an opportunity  to gain feedback from our constituents.

Over the years our events have grown from a few dozen people gathered in our office, to more than 200 participants at our 2015 10-in-1 StreetTalk. Take a look back at some of our most popular events below:

Better Buses Week

We are excited to announce that we will be devoting an entire week to buses in October. We hope you'll join us for one or more of the events below to explore the possibilities for buses in Metro Boston.

StreetTalk: Making Buses Sexy

StreetTalks are back and we are talking about buses! Imagine saving two weeks on your commute every year . . . Dedicated bus lanes, signal priority, and other techniques that prioritize people on buses are essential ingredients to making this a reality.

Join us for a conversation with transportation experts on improvements already being planned for our bus system as well as an exploration of bus innovations being implemented globally.

CoAXs: A Transit Tool for Engagement Workshop

LivableStreets is partnering with MIT’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning to test a customized version of CoAXs - a tool designed to support efforts to engage community members and key decision-makers around transit improvements.

This two hour workshop will give participants the opportunity to test CoAXs and to explore how it can apply to our work to improve bus service in Metro Boston. Each session is limited to 15 participants, so you'll have the opportunity to work directly with the tool in a small group setting.
