Planning Study for the Replacement of Monsignor Casey Overpass

Public Information Meeting held by MassDOT (Project File No. 605511)

Purpose
The purpose of this meeting is to present the work completed to date, including draft design alternatives and the evaluation criteria by which to measure the effectiveness of each alternative to meet the goals and objectives established for the project. All views and comments made at the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.

Proposal
The proposed project consists of planning and study to determine a preferred alternative for replacement of the existing overpass structure to manage multi-modal mobility and diverse livabilityneeds of the area. The planning study phase will consist of extensive and inclusive public outreach and input, and be inclusive of at-grade and structural solutions. The recommended alternative will be advanced into design phase for construction within the schedule of the Commonwealth’s AcceleratedBridge Program.

Written views received by MassDOT subsequent to the date of this notice and up to five (5) days prior to thedate of the hearing shall be displayed for public inspection and copying at the time and date listed above. Plans will be on display one-half hour before the hearing begins, with an engineer in attendance to answer questions regarding this project.

Written statements and other exhibits in place of, or in addition to, oral statements made at the PublicInformation Meeting regarding the proposed undertaking are to be submitted to Thomas F. Broderick, P.E., Acting Chief Engineer, MassDOT, 10 Park Plaza, Boston, MA 02116, ATTN: (Paul King, Project File No. 605511). Such submissions will also be accepted at the meeting. Mailed statements and exhibits intended for inclusion in the public meeting transcript must be postmarked within ten (10) business days of this Public Information Meeting. Project inquiries may be emailed.
