The Boston Housing Authority and its development partner, Old Colony Phase I Limited Partnership/Beacon Communities Services LLC (the “Developer”), filed a Project Notification Form on February 22, 2010 for the proposed Old Colony Phase I Redevelopment (“Proposed Project”) located at 265 East Ninth Street in South Boston. The Proposed Project suggests redeveloping a portion of the existing Old Colony Housing Development by demolishing approximately 165 residential units and constructing 116 low-income rental housing units, plus a 10,000 square foot community center, and related site improvement.
