Boston Greenbelt Trail Hike

The Boston Greenbelt Trail is a proposed 80 mile foot trail that circles Boston within RT 128 connecting our major regional parks.  This hike will will explore a small segment of this proposed trail highlighting the opportunities to connect up our extensive open spaces in a relatively easily accessible trail to Boston.

This hike is part of the 2018 MAPC Summer Greenway Ride and Walk Series, which explores metro Boston's growing greenway and trail network. This network is part of MAPC's vision to connect 1400 miles throughout the Boston Region.

The purpose of the series is to show off new projects and advocate for completing the missing gaps. The events educate, entertain, and build the bond between users, designers, planners and advocates to work towards the goal of a connected active transportation network.
