Russ Lopez
Russ is an author of urban history books living in Boston’s South End neighborhood. His research and writings include the role of neighborhood in diet and exercise, the influence of schoolyard renovations on student test scores, health effects of racial segregation, and income inequality and urban sprawl. Through his work on the Governance Committee, Russ has helped LivableStreets transition from a grassroots volunteer-run organization to an organization with five staff and growing. Russ is excited to see the movement for healthier neighborhoods and safer streets growing. Russ is a longtime Red Sox ticket holder and enjoys playing the oboe.
