Harvard’s Institutional Master Plan: Community-Wide Plan/IMP meeting

Below is a list of upcoming meetings related to Harvard’s Institutional Master Plan, the BRA’s Community-Wide Plan, or otherwise of interest to the North Allston/North Brighton community. All meetings will be held at the Honan-Allston Library and will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. unless noted otherwise.

* Thursday, September 4: Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC). The CAC is a group convened by the state's MEPA office to advise the Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs as part of the review of the Environmental Impact Report that Harvard will prepare for its proposed Master Plan. The main topic of conversation at Thursday night’s meeting will be the review of a draft Request for Qualifications for a Third Party Peer Review consultant who will advise the CAC in the areas of transportation, air quality, and energy.

* Monday, September 8: MBTA Service Plan Meeting. 6:00-7:30 p.m. The MBTA will hold a community workshop to present the Preliminary 2008 Service Plan and solicit feedback from the public regarding service changes that are proposed in the Plan.

* Wednesday, September 10: Community-Wide Plan meeting. This BRA meeting will provide an opportunity to begin to come to consensus on key topics and to discuss the “armature” of the area-wide planning district. Meeting will be preceded by a construction management subcommittee meeting from 5:30-6:30 in the same location.

* Wednesday, September 24: Community-Wide Plan/IMP meeting. 6:30-9:00 p.m. This BRA meeting will focus on transportation, with Harvard, BRA, MBTA, and EOT present. Meeting will be preceded by a construction management subcommittee meeting from 5:30-6:30 in the same location.
