Transit Oriented Development (TOD) enjoys widespread support among transportation, planning, and development professionals who see it as a way to reduce urban sprawl and reliance on automobiles, improve quality of life, and create and enhance mixed-income neighborhoods. In the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut metropolitan region, TOD takes on particular importance as communities increasingly look to reduce congestion and their carbon footprint.

Join us as we explore opportunities, challenges, and policy questions related to TOD, and as we learn from regional, national, and international examples about what works, what does not work -- and why -- when trying to successfully implement such projects.
