Urban Ring Public Meeting (Chelsea)
PUBLIC MEETING to discuss Preliminary Recommendations for The Urban Ring Project
Thursday, June 5 • 6:30 to 8:30 PM
Williams Middle School, 180 Walnut Street, Chelsea
The project team will present PRELIMINARY RECOMMENDATIONS for the Urban Ring Phase 2 project, a proposed bus rapid transit line that would serve a circumferential “ring” passing through Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Medford and Somerville. The presentation will include an overview of the Urban Ring Phase 2 and the need for the project; a review of the alternatives evaluation process; and a description of the Preferred Alternative. The Preferred Alternative has been developed based on input from the general public, neighborhood and advocacy groups, and the project’s Citizens Advisory Committee, along with detailed technical and engineering analysis.
There will be four meetings in the Urban Ring communities. You may attend any of the meetings. Each presentation will include general information about the project as a whole, as well as a more detailed discussion of the area around the meeting site.
To request access or language accommodations, please call Regan Checchio at 617-357-5772 at least ten days in advance.
