Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization Open House Scheduled
The Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold two Open House sessions on April 8 at the State Transportation Building to invite members of the public to learn more about and comment on the following MPO activities:
• Update of the FFY 2009 Unified Planning Work Program
• Update of the FFYs 2009-2012 Transportation Improvement Program
• Overviews of Roadway Safety Planning
• Overviews of Mobility Monitoring
The Boston Region MPO is responsible for conducting regional transportation planning and for programming federal capital funding for transit and highway projects in 101 municipalities in eastern Massachusetts. The MPO has 14 voting members and 3 advisory members. The voting members are 5 state-level transportation agencies, 2 regional agencies, and 7 municipalities.
