Saturday, April 26, Earth Day Ride
10:00 am
Fowl Meadow parking lot on Brush Hill Road just south of the Neponset Valley Parkway, just east of Paul's Bridge and the Boston/Milton border.
This time we'll head the other way, taking Burma Road to the Bridge to Nowhere, then beautiful Elm St. in Canton, ending with views of the city from the Trustees of Reservations' Signal Hill Reservation. It's not a very long ride, around
10 miles, but the first couple of miles are off-road through the Fowl Meadow section of the DCR's Blue Hills Reservation. Hybrid or mountain bikes are recommended, though Burma Road has a hard enough surface that it has been ridden with skinny
tires. Helmets are required. The ride is cosponsored by the Boston Natural Areas Network and the Neponset River Watershed Association. If it's muddy, we'll take Rt. 138.
Maps and cue sheets will be posted at
