in NYC: THE STATE OF THE MTA ADDRESS with MTA CEO Elliot G. Sander
THE STATE OF THE MTA ADDRESS with MTA CEO Elliot G. Sander
As the region grows in population and concerns mount about global
warming and U.S. energy dependence, what will the transportation network
look like 40 years from now? How will the ambitious plans laid out for
system expansion –- from a full-length Second Avenue Subway to the
extension of the 7 line to greater interconnectivity between the
region’s railroads –- be funded in an era of escalating construction costs?
Find out March 3 when Elliot G. Sander, executive director and CEO of
the MTA, presents the first State of the MTA address to reflect on the
organization’s progress, present his vision for its future, and describe
the funding challenges ahead. This free event will feature a Q&A with
students following the address; the lobby will feature a Transportation
Science & Technology Fair and an MTA Career Fair.
