Centering design around people can significantly increase corporate
competitiveness and value, while acting as a trigger for designers and
their partners to completely reconsider how they work and create. This
is a central premise of Inclusive Design. While there is obvious
social, moral and philosophical benefit, what are the creative,
financial and personal implications? Inclusive Design is set to
reshape the way we look at design and is in a powerful position to
influence modern life. It can humanize and transform the products,
services, institutions and environments around us.

The Helen Hamlyn Centre at the Royal College of Art in London is one
of the world's most important hubs of investigation of Inclusive
Design and business. Rama Gheerawo is Leader and Manager of the
Centre's Research Associate Programme which teams recent design
graduates of the Royal College of Art with industry partners to work
on year-long inclusive design research projects. He will share his
perspective and stories of their experience with business
collaborations on people centered design.
