"Building Low-Carbon Cities: A Continuum of Action" Lecture
Joan Fitzgerald is giving a talk titled "Building Low-Carbon Cities: A Continuum of Action". Her current research is on the link between urban sustainability strategies and economic development builds from a book she published in 2002, Implementing Economic Development in Cities and Suburb, which explores how social justice and environmental sustainability can be incorporated into urban and suburban economic development strategies. Currently on sabbatical, she has been traveling throughout Europe and the US exploring best practices for policies and strategies states and cities can employ to create jobs in the green building, renewable energy, and waste management sectors.
The seminar will take place on Monday, February 11, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in Room 215 of Shillman Hall on the Northeastern campus. No RSVP or advance
