Enjoy one of my favorite spots in the city!

Dear friends and family,

You know I love to get around by bike, foot and transit, and not just because of the exercise or free parking. Its the most convenient and fun way to get around the city. I bump into friends and ride on the train together, or stop to chat on the sidewalk, or go grab a coffee. Sometimes I stumble upon an event I didn’t even know was going on, or a farmers market, or just
linger on the bridges. It makes me feel connected to the city and people.

I’m also on the board of the LivableStreets Alliance www.livablestreets.info whos mission is to improve the balance of walking, biking and transit with cars— creating safe, convenient and affordable options in the metro Boston area. LivableStreets is making great progress on Vision Zero and the Emerald Network.

Our largest fundraiser takes place Saturday, September 10th, and I ask for your support  ivablestreets.info/ninagarfinkle. This year it’s at one of my favorite spots in the city—North Point Park [across from Museum of Science. If you haven’t been you are really missing something]. Great views of the city, the Zakim Bridge, the city’s new skate park, boats, trains, cars, bikes, and connections over the bike/ped bridge to Cambridge, Charlestown, the Charles River Lochs, and North Station.

For those of you who donated last year — THANK YOU! And either way,
I hope all of you will consider supporting me this year. There are lots of ways to do that:
