Ghost Bike Dedication and Boston City Council Budget Hearing

Join us at Boston City Hall on Wednesday evening as we ask for an increase in Vision Zero funding that appropriately addresses traffic violence. With at least seven fatalities so far this year, we are sadly keeping pace with last year's rate for traffic deaths.

Here's how you can do your part:

Event Details:

Ghost Bike Ceremony for Rick Archer
Wednesday, May 10, 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
@ Commonwealth Ave & Clarendon St, Boston

Boston Transportation Department Budget Hearings
Wednesday, May 10, 6 pm - 8 pm
@ Boston City Hall
1 City Hall Square, Boston

We'll never get to Vision Zero unless we put our money where our mouth is. Boston is far behind its fellow Vision Zero cities when it comes to funding capital safety improvements and the staff needed to implement them. In 2016, there was a troubling rise in pedestrian crashes and fatalities, and yet we haven't seen an increase in funding to implement safe streets.

If we're going to be serious about tackling traffic violence, city agencies need the funds to do the work.

We hope you'll be able to take part!
