Steve Wilson, Senior Associate, Sasaki Associates will present:
Transforming Academic Medical Centers through Urban Design: A Survey of Recent Works

How can a medical complex become a great urban place? Steve Wilson, Senior Associate and Urban Designer with Sasaki Associates, explores this question through a presentation of four of Sasaki's recently completed master plans including, The Federal University Health Science, Islamabad, The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus; Upstate Medical
University, Syracuse; and Shands at the University of Florida, Gainesville.

In the face of rising competition, limited land resources, and changing models for healthcare delivery, education, and research, Academic Medical Centers are rethinking how they grow, the value of the campus environment, and how they relate to their surroundings. As designers and planners, how can we best respond? Please join the discussion.
