Tommy Vitolo is dancing for LivableStreets!

“There are plenty of reasons to support LivableStreets—but I do it because I have two kids and I want them to grow up in a community where they can get around safely. Slowing down traffic and improving walking and biking in Brookline isn’t just a transportation issue—its about making our community better for everyone, especially our kids, our grandparents and everyone in between.” — Tommy

A parent of two children, Tommy has been active in the community for many years. He is a Town Meeting Member and Constable, and has served on five different transportation-related committees. Tommy has been a member and supporter of LivableStreets Alliance for several years. Don’t miss your chance to see Tommy perform on November 7th!

Why support LivableStreets?

LivableStreets relies on the generous contributions of our donors to ensure we are able to advocate for better biking, walking, and transit 365 days a year — creating safer streets and more vibrant communities. For example LivableStreets:

- Representatives have advocated alongside Brookline families for safer streets at public meetings, and were featured speakers at Brookline’s first Complete Streets Forum.

- Proposed designs and advocated for the planned Commonwealth Ave improvements that will make the T and 57 bus faster, widen sidewalks, add separated bike lanes, and make intersections safer.

- Launched the Emerald Network, an initiative to create 200 miles of shared-use paths for urban recreation and transportation, including a dangerous section of Route 9.
